The National Youth Day, in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, was celebrated in the school on 12th January by the students.
The assembly began with a prayer service for the youth. A number of invocations were made for various intentions of the youth. The students then enriched us with the life history of Swami Vivekananda which included information about his birth, the efforts he had put in to empower the youth, throughout India and abroad.
A small skit was enacted to show the importance of “Truthfulness” from the life of Swami Vivekananda. It was based on a significant incident from his life. The students also enlightened their fellow- mates with some facts about the different youth organizations across the Nation. The Principal made the students aware of the importance of the youth in building the Nation through his message.
