Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Diwali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. The day was marked by a special assembly highlighting the message of ‘Green Diwali, Clean Diwali’. Decorated with lights and vibrant hues, we had an ambience of joy and happiness. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through a skit and a scintillating dance performance which added much exuberance and brought great joy to the audience. Students were briefed on ill-effects of burning crackers and were urged to celebrate the festival with candles, sweets and non-polluting green crackers. The assembly concluded with a speech by the principal who expressed his deep concern about the environment and advised the students to celebrate Green Diwali.
